Dana El Masri

Dana El Masri (pronounced DAA-NA ELMAS-REE) is Fumerie’s very first Maker’s Residency featured artist, via her brand Jazmin Saraï. She experiences the world through the multi-sensory.

A trained perfumer, interdisciplinary artist, educator, and storyteller. Her depth and perception are inspired by our current contemporary landscape as well as her deeply rooted Egyptian/Lebanese cultures. She sees scent as a gateway to raise awareness of unappreciated and under-represented cultures of the past, present, and future.

Dana believes the role of the artist is to reflect the times. She continually uses Jazmin Saraï as a platform to empower her community through representation and collaboration, while also educating her audience on issues of culture and identity.

Her ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between scent, sound, and culture. She believes this will allow more people to gain unique and memorable olfactory experiences that elicit raw emotions from deep within and trigger deeper connections to the world around them.
