Description The light was at twilight. The horses neighed with fatigue. It was time to stop. The men dismounted. Their bodies were exhausted and dusty. The tents were set up. The mountains of Kashmir cast their shadows over the vast plain with its short grass. Despite the cool evening air, the weather remained mild. Emperor Alexander gathered his troops.
