We here at Fumerie are no strangers to fragrances we love going the way of the dodo, and for the most part, we embrace this fact and celebrate it as a part of what makes the artistic medium of fragrance so beautiful. We believe there is an almost mystic quality to the reality that fragrant art can only be experienced very close to real-time; that is more like living in a concert for some time rather than listening to a record whenever you’d like. With that said, when we found out Santal Umeshu was to be discontinued we were all pretty shocked and bummed as it is easily a shop favorite for creamy, unique, sandalwood that is truly unique to other offerings of the genre on the market.

Much to our surprise, and delight, Fabrice decided to make Santal Umeshu exclusive to Fumerie moving forward! This is an honor we plan to uphold and treasure by making sure we continue to connect Santal Umeshu with the folks who most want to find this incredible, singular, fragrance.

The bold and unique Umeshu combines mouthwatering nuances of sourness, sweetness, and umami; enfolding into a unique uplifting addictive quality many of our patrons have come to love deeply. We find that Umeshu is a perfect contrast to the unique style of creamy s sandalwood offered in Santal Umeshu, which is a powerful and sensual journey of invigorating sensations.
