Christopher Sheldrake
Christopher Sheldrake had originally planned to become an architect but changed his mind after visiting Grasse. Sheldrake got his start at Chanel before transferring to Quest where he spent the next 23 years. Sheldrake left Quest in 2005, just before the company's change of ownership, returning to Chanel as Director of Research & Development for Fragrance where he worked first with Jacques Polge and then with Olivier Polge following Jacques Polge's retirement in 2015. Since the early 1990s, Sheldrake has collaborated with Serge Lutens, composing all but two of the fragrances in Lutens' extensive range (he co-created Féminité du Bois with Pierre Bourdon and Maurice Roucel composed Iris Silver Mist).
