Mark Buxton

Born in Derby, England, Mark Buxton entered the world of perfumery "by pure hazard" and studied at Haarmann & Riemer (now Symrise). Buxton has developed a reputation in the fragrance industry for his novel, transparent woody compositions. He is perhaps best known for his work for Japanese fashion house Comme des Garçons and German-based Biehl Parfumkunstwerke. In 2008 he launched his own fragrance line under his name. Some of his most recent projects include a collaboration with Le Cinéma Olfactif called Folie à Plusieurs and a collaboration with fellow parfumeurs Bertrand Duchaufour and Geza Schoen for the Renegades series.
