Fumerie is honored and beyond thrilled to host the founder and perfumer behind the beloved fragrance house of Parfums Dusita, Pissara Umavijani.

Pissara Umavijani grew up in Thailand in a home filled with books and poetry. As a young artist with a passion for fragrances, she began creating her own perfumes, blending rare and precious scents. She dreamt of opening her own ‘Maison de Parfum’, and in 2011, she brought her dreams and creations to Paris. After first teaching herself the science of fragrance, she has continued to produce her first collection of exclusive scents with a leading fragrance production house in Grasse.  Parfums Dusita launched in 2016, becoming France’s newest Maison de Haute Parfumerie.

All Dusita perfumes are olfactory tributes to the poetry of the late Montri Umavijani, Pissara’s father. In the Dusita universe, both poetry and perfume are ideal means of connecting with others; they stir the imagination, uplift the spirit, and appeal to the senses, as well as the intellect. Further inspired by Montri Umavijani’s life-long pursuit of the joy and inner peace that the heavenly paradise “Dusita” promises, all her perfumes aim to evoke realms of earthly happiness and sublimity. For each fragrance she composes, Pissara also creates an illustration that captures the essence of the scent, as well as the poem that inspired it.

Join us on Friday, January 30th, for one of two separate hour-long events with Pissara wherein participants will explore the artistry behind her creations, engage with rare raw materials, and much more. Participants will also enjoy a complimentary discovery set exclusively available during this event and specially built for Fumerie, as well as additional gifts-with-purchase to accompany any full-size Dusita bottle purchases made at the conclusion of the event.
