Collection: Marc-Antoine Corticchiato
Marc-Antoine Corticchiato was born in Morocco. He grew up splitting his time between his parents' properties: Italian citrus groves and the Corsican maquis. After studying chemistry at university and proposing a new technique for analyzing plant extracts in his doctoral thesis, he began his studies at the Institut Supérieur International du Parfum de la Cosmétique et de l'Aromatique Alimentaire (ISPICA). After graduating he spent several years in research laboratories focused on the analysis of raw materials and their extraction techniques. Following a brief period working in aromatherapy, Corticchiato joined a perfume creation firm in Paris and began teaching at ISIPCA. In 2002, he founded Parfum d'Empire to focus on fine fragrance composition. He was awarded the Fragrance Foundation's Prix des Experts two years in a row—in 2015 for Parfum d'Empire's Corisca Furiosa and in 2016 for Parfum d'Empire's Tabac Tabou.
