Description Le Barbier de Tanger was inspired by MDCI founder Claude Marchal's memory of a very special barbershop in Tangiers, Morocco. Through the skill of perfumer Anne-Sophie Benhaghel, we are transported back in time to a gentleman's barbershop circa 1950. The fragrance opens with a bracing freshness—the combination of green citrus and aromatic elements. Among the materials used in this composition are lavender, bergamot and oakmoss—these materials have been used for over a hundred years to form the basic foundation of one of the oldest fragrance families: the fougère. Le Barbier de Tanger infuses the aromatic structure with fresh, fruity notes of pineapple and apple and the green earthiness of petitgrain and galbanum on a dusty, woody base gives that the fragrance an earthy, inviting warmth.
