Description The result of a collaboration between Barbara Herman (the prolific fragrance blogger behind Yesterday's Perfume and author of Scent & Subversion: Decoding a Century of Provocative Perfume) and Antoine Lie (the avant-garde perfumer well-known for his work with Etat Libre d'Orange), Eris Parfums, named for the Greek goddess of troublemaking and disruption, is a collection of fragrances inspired by the bold eroticism of vintage perfumes. Ma Bête is a ravishingly beautiful animalic floral. It smells of luxurious fur coats and timeless elegance. The genius of the composition lies in the clever fifty percent overdose of Antoine Lie's signature animalic cocktail. The perfumer himself remarks that, "Ma Béte is fiercely beastly with a raunchy elegance." There is perhaps no better description.
