Description The result of a collaboration between Barbara Herman (the prolific fragrance blogger behind Yesterday's Perfume and author of Scent & Subversion: Decoding a Century of Provocative Perfume) and Antoine Lie (the avant-garde perfumer well-known for his work with Etat Libre d'Orange), Eris Parfums, named for the Greek goddess of troublemaking and disruption, is a collection of fragrances inspired by the bold eroticism of vintage perfumes. Belle de Jour is, at its core, a floral fragrance built around jasmine and orange blossom. However, like all Antoine Lie creations, there is a surprising twist: the addition of seaweed absolute flanked by an animalic musk and cistus labdanum adds depth and complexity transforming this floral fragrance into something altogether new and exciting. In Antoine Lie's own words, "Belle de Jour is a study in contrasts: a very luminous floral that is salty, sexy and dirty."
